Look how they shine for you

At 12 in the morning, we gathered down by the ocean to experience something truly magical. As 8 dear friends ventured down the dark cliffs, we came together to watch meteors shoot across the clear dark night. We huddled together under blankets, we listened to music, and we talked as if we have known each other for years. As our voices filled the air, I pointed out the fact that these meteors will not be returning to us for another 30 years. I started to think about where I will be in 30 years. Who will I be? Will my dreams be achieved? Will I be happy? As these thoughts filled my head, I stopped and realized that no matter what I will be like in 30 years when I watch the meteors return back, I will always have my memory of when 8 dear friends huddled together underneath the stars and watched something magical happen. Even though my life will change, I will always have sweet, beautiful, enchanting moments. And for now, that is all I need to know.
